Online renewals a huge success

The Legal Services Board congratulates the Victorian legal profession on the success of the 2012/2013 renewals period.  

To date, approximately 88% of the profession have renewed their practising certificates for the new practising year, of which approximately 85% were completed by the 30 April deadline. Legal practitioners were encouraged to renew their practising certificates online this year via the Board’s new system called LSB Online.  The Board is pleased to report that approximately 80% of all legal practitioners have renewed their practising certificates through this new system.

Practising certificate renewals can be completed until 30 June 2012 via LSB Online or by completing the hard copy form. A surcharge will apply for renewals made between 1 May and 30 June 2012.

Renewal applications are currently being checked and processed by the Law Institute of Victoria and the Victorian Bar. Legal practitioners can expect to receive their practising certificates before 1 July 2012.
